1. Do I have a different number for my Boost Walkie-Talkie other than my 10-digit Boost Mobile™ phone number?
A: Yes! You get 2 different numbers when you initially activate your Boost Mobile™ phone (You get a Boost Mobile™ phone number AND a Boost Walkie-Talkie number).

2. What is Boost Walkie-Talkie?
A: Boost Walkie-Talkie is a digital radio service that allows you to communicate all day long for a fraction of the cost of a regular call. It's like a walkie-talkie that works for hundreds of miles.

3. How much does Boost Walkie-Talkie cost?
Effective March 1st, 2006 Boost has lowered the Boost Mobile Walkie-Talkie rate to ONLY $1.00 per day!
A: All you pay is $1.00 per day to use the Boost Walkie-Talkie anywhere in the United States. That’s Right! 24 Hours of UNLIMITED Boost Walkie-Talkie. Talk to your friends anywhere in the Boost Mobile™ Walkie-Talkie Nationwide Coverage Area as many times as you like. Additional rates apply when using Boost Walkie-Talkie internationally. Boost Walkie-Talkie charges apply only when the Boost Walkie Talkie Button or Alert Button is used. To get more minutes for your Boost Walkie-Talkie all you need to do is recharge your account.

4. How do I use the Boost Walkie-Talkie?
A: Enter the Boost Walkie-Talkie number of the person you are trying to call. You can save this number in your phonebook. Hit Alert and the Ready to Alert screen will pop up. Press and hold the Boost Walkie-Talkie PTT™ (Push to Talk) Button on the side of the phone. A chirping/beeping sound will let the recipient know that you are trying to contact them and the chirping/beeping will sound until the recipient answers, queues or clears it. Then, release the Boost Walkie-Talkie Button to listen.

5. How can I look up my Boost Walkie-Talkie number?
A: To look up your Boost Walkie-Talkie number:
1. Press the Menu key
2. Scroll to My Info
3. Hit SELECT on the bottom right
4. Scroll to Prvt ID which means private ID (Boost Walkie-Talkie)
5. Hit VIEW to view your Boost Walkie-Talkie number

6. How do I receive a Boost Walkie-Talkie call?
A: When you receive a Boost Walkie-Talkie call, your phone makes a beeping sound and Private in Use displays on the screen. The Boost Walkie-Talkie (Private ID) or the name of the caller (if stored in your Phonebook) will show. You can choose to answer, queue, or clear it. To answer the call, press the Boost Walkie-Talkie PTT™ Button. Begin talking after the phone makes that beeping sound. Release the Boost Walkie-Talkie PTT™ Button to listen. To queue the call, hit the Queue. To clear the call, hit Clear. If you're receiving a Boost Walkie-Talkie, when you queue the Boost Walkie-Talkie call, you don't have to respond to the person right away. They will 'temporarily' be saved on the Call Alert Queue list until you Boost Walkie-Talkie them back.

7. Can I Walkie-Talkie with people who have Nextel service?
A: Yes. Nextel's Walkie-Talkie service is called 'Direct Connect', and Boost customers can Walkie-Talkie (or Direct Connect) Nextel customers who have 'cross fleet' capability active on their phone. In order to Walkie-Talkie a Nextel customer, you must enter in the full Private ID of the Nextel phone before pressing the push-to-talk button. (An example of a full Private ID is: 111*22*3333. There are three numbers that make up the Private ID, each is separated by an asterisk [*].)

8. How can I use the Boost Walkie-Talkie without having other people hear what the caller is saying?
A: It depends which model phone you have, but there are other ways to hold your conversations private. You can use your phone's earpiece by turning the speakerphone off or an optional audio earpiece rather than having the conversation over the speakerphone.

9. Can I Boost Walkie-Talkie anyone?
A: With Boost Walkie-Talkie you can contact any Boost Mobile™ or Nextel customer as long as you have their Boost Walkie-Talkie number and you have call credits available on your balance.

A: You can use Boost Walkie-Talkie anywhere in the Boost Mobile Walkie-Talkie Nationwide Coverage Area and coverage areas in Canada, Argentina, Peru, Brazil and Mexico.
